Akira Select is owned and operated by Andrew Jarvis from New Zealand who has worked in the motor vehicle industry for 20+ years, having spent the last 12 years based in Japan and Singapore.

The Akira Select Difference

Akira Select is different. Akira Select has people on the ground in Japan and Singapore with many years experience to handpick stock for a select group of clients. Akira Select develops a relationship with each client to understand what each client is looking for. Akira Select then select stock to match each clients requirements and criteria.

Additionally Akira Select staff come from the buyers perspective (staff spend time in Japan and Singapore as well as places like New Zealand to get a full understanding of each market) – not the sellers perspective. This means that the Akira Select buyer can select vehicles knowing the idiosyncrissies of the market that they are buying for.

Akira Select works across markets. Selecting vehicles in Japan and Singapore for importation by clients into New Zealand, the Carribean, United Kingdom, Africa, Canada and Russia.

Akira Select also procures vehicles on their own account when there is no standing order from a client but where the type and quality of the vehicle suggests that a client will be keen to purchase the vehicle on an ad hoc basis. These vehicles are then offered to clients in the appropriate market.
